MERRICK MORTON
Merrick Morton is a documentary street photographer and still photographer in the film industry.
Rick, also known as Merrick, has been shooting stills for over 30 years.
He is a founding member of The Society of Motion Picture Stills Photographers. Rick had been documenting Black and Cholo LA Gang Culture in the 1980s.
Rick’s gang photography was inspired by seeing the original 1981 stage performance of the Zoot Suit, which depicted the 1943 race riots in Los Angeles.
It has gained quite a bit of notoriety; His instagram has skyrocketed with many offers to license images for film, television, and fashion for art exhibits and magazine layouts.
